Canadian low-cost carrier Lynx Air is continuous its expansion into the US by launching a brand new service between Toronto and Phoenix. Toronto to Phoenix
On October twelfth, Lynx Air launched a flight between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Arizona, US. Because the airline continues to expand its presence out of Toronto, it has established a pilot and cabin crew base in the town to support this growth, creating 101 recent jobs within the region.
Jim Sullivan, CEO of Lynx Air, highlighted how Toronto has traditionally been underserved by low-cost carriers and currently is Lynx’s fastest-growing hub. Lynx is the one budget airline offering a service between Toronto and Phoenix. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego commented,
US expansion from its Toronto base
Lynx’s flight to Phoenix will join its existing services from Toronto to the US, equivalent to Orlando and Los Angeles. The airline already serves Phoenix from Calgary. But that’s not all. Lynx will add flights from Toronto to Fort Myers and Tampa Bay in the approaching months. The carrier’s current and upcoming US schedule from Toronto collectively looks like this:
