ITA Airways will launch recent services connecting Rome with London City and London Gatwick.
Smallest aircraft
ITA Airways highlighted that the Airbus A220-100 is its smallest aircraft, ideally suited to such short-haul connections. Moreover, it’s the only aircraft within the carrier’s fleet certified to land at London City. Before receiving its first A220-100, the airline wet-leased Embraer E190 aircraft to fly to the airport.
Along with having WiFi onboard the jet, ITA Airways’ Airbus A220-100s have wide seats, custom lighting, larger windows, and roomier bins, with the interiors being designed by Walter De Silva. In total, 125 passengers can fly with the aircraft in either business or economy class.
