Boeing and Icelease signed an agreement covering one 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter, with options for up to two additional aircraft. Boeing said the first aircraft is scheduled to enter conversion in Q1 2027 and reach delivery in Q2 2027.
Key details
- ST Engineering will perform the conversions at its airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Singapore, according to Boeing.
- The companies held a signing ceremony on Oct. 22, 2026, at Cargo Facts Symposium.
- Boeing lists the 767-300BCF’s range as 3,300 nautical miles and its payload as 57 tonnes.
Boeing expects the first converted 767-300 to be delivered in Q2 2027.
Why it matters
Icelease said the converted aircraft are intended for IAT Leasing’s managed cargo portfolio. The company described that portfolio as including seven Boeing 737-800BCFs and other freighters leased to customers. The agreement connects a planned widebody freighter conversion with an existing aircraft-leasing operation.
What happens next
The first aircraft is due to enter conversion in Singapore in Q1 2027, with delivery expected the following quarter. Which cargo routes could make use of the 767-300BCF’s range and payload?
