SmartKargo announced the initial release of its AI Apps portfolio, with four applications delivered through APIs. The company says the tools connect with existing airline cargo systems.
Key details
- AIRCAM forecasts cargo capacity and demand and recommends dynamic spot rates for flight- and route-level planning.
- AINOC provides a predictive view of cargo network operations and identifies exceptions that could lead to delays or recovery costs.
- AIULD tracks and forecasts the location, condition and availability of unit load devices (ULDs).
- AICTX provides a standards-based messaging layer intended to connect cargo systems and partners.
SmartKargo’s first AI Apps release includes AIRCAM, AINOC, AIULD and AICTX.
Why it matters
The applications address distinct cargo workflows, from pricing available capacity to tracking the containers used to move freight. SmartKargo says AICTX can support data exchange across systems and partners, while the company says the apps can integrate with cargo systems airlines already use.
What happens next
SmartKargo plans to expand the portfolio beyond these four applications. The company’s CRO said the apps are built to begin delivering value within weeks. Which cargo operation would benefit most from this kind of connected toolkit?
