ATR offers HighLine cabin configurations for premium regional, corporate, semi-private and governmental travel. ATR positions the range for travel between conventional commercial service and business aviation, rather than as a direct competitor to traditional business aircraft.

Key details

  • ATR introduced HighLine configurations in 2023: Dual-Class, Premium-Flex, All-Business and Governmental.
  • Berjaya Air received an ATR 72-600 with an all-business cabin in May 2026. The cabin has 26 seats, with one seat per row; a second aircraft in the configuration was expected before year-end.
  • JSX signed a letter of intent at the 2025 Paris Air Show covering up to 25 ATR aircraft in HighLine configuration. The airline began operating two ATR 42-600s in December 2025.
  • ATR and Airbus Corporate Jets are developing the X-Space Table, a modular seating concept that converts two economy seats into one business-class seat. Air Cambodia was named as its launch customer, with certification expected in the first quarter of 2027.

Why it matters

HighLine gives regional operators cabin choices for customers seeking a premium experience on shorter routes, while the X-Space Table offers a way to change seating layouts. ATR says regional passenger transport and cargo remain its core business, with HighLine adding an offering shaped by customer interest.

What happens next

Air Cambodia’s X-Space Table certification target points to another step in the development of premium regional cabins. Which HighLine layout would you most like to see on a regional flight?
