Synapse Aviation launched Adaptive TEM through its Airport Briefing platform, according to a report published October 30, 2026. The product generates context-specific flight threat briefings using information such as airport, runway, approach, weather, NOTAM, terrain, airspace and operational-limit conditions.
Key details
- The system is reported to draw on more than 300 million operational data points from airports worldwide, including Lido SkyData aeronautical information updated with AIRAC cycle changes.
- Adaptive TEM ranks threats as high, medium or low across environment, airport, ATC and airspace, operational, aircraft and human-factor categories, and suggests mitigations.
- The report says the system applies structured operational rules and deterministic evaluation to generate threat outputs. AI supports some back-office tasks, including NOTAM interpretation and data management.
- Airport Briefing also introduced an AI chat assistant and a Resource Center with training videos, user manuals and frequently asked questions.
- The product is offered to airlines and aviation operators as a decision-support tool that supplements TEM and company decision-making. Individual pilot applications are not accepted at present.

Why it matters
Flight crews and operators can use briefings that bring local conditions and operational limitations into one threat review. The report describes Adaptive TEM as support for established decision-making, with pilots retaining responsibility for their judgment and standard procedures.
What happens next
Airlines and aviation operators can request a demonstration through the Airport Briefing website as they assess the tool for their operations. Which operational details would you want included in a flight threat briefing?
