airBaltic has announced three recent routes coming to its network this winter: Riga-Madeira and Vilnius-Oslo will launch in late October, followed by Tallinn-Kittila in December.
airBaltic adds Madeira, recent Oslo and Kittila routes
The Baltic carrier will begin flying to Madeira Airport (FNC) for the primary time from October twenty eighth, with three weekly flights to launch from its base at Riga International Airport (RIX). A day later, the airline will launch a twice-weekly service from Vilnius International Airport (VNO) to Oslo Torp (TRF), which is situated just over 100km from Oslo.
Then, on December twenty first, airBaltic will begin a brand new route between Tallinn Airport (TLL) and Kittilä International Airport (KTT) with as much as two weekly flights.

airBaltic already has a presence at Oslo Torp with a seasonal service to Gran Canaria (LPA), and can be set to launch a brand new reference to Copenhagen (CPH) in early April. It also already flies to Kittilä with two seasonal routes from Riga and Tampere, but this might be its first flights to Madeira. Tickets for the upcoming routes are already on sale via the airline’s official website, with fares available in economy and business class:

Flights might be operated by airBaltic’s young Airbus A220-300 fleet, which might seat as much as 148 passengers. In line with ch-aviation, the airline now has 47 A220s in its fleet, with a median age of lower than 4 years.

Wow: airBaltic Has Now Been Operating the Airbus A220-300 For 7 Years
Since its introduction in 2016, airBaltic has carried almost 450,000 passengers on its Airbus A220s.
airBaltic may also increase flights across its network over 2024 to cater to the growing demand for its services. From its base in Riga, the airline will add frequencies to Prague, Stockholm and Tampere, together with other unconfirmed destinations. Out of its Tallinn hub, it can operate more frequencies to Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Gran Canaria, in addition to extra services between Vilnius and Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and more.

Gauss confirmed that in 2024, the airline will “operate a record high variety of routes from our home bases greater than ever before.” It has also confirmed it can proceed to fly several of its seasonal routes next Winter season, including Riga–Ljubljana, Riga–Baku, Tallinn– Malta, Vilnius–Lisbon and Vilnius–Hamburg. The airline now operates over 130 routes from its 4 bases in Riga, Tallinn, Tampere and Vilnius, together with its seasonal base in Gran Canaria.
