Last week, Air Latest Zealand brought home its Boeing 777 from storage, nevertheless with demand soaring on its long-haul routes, the carrier is in final negotiations with Boeing to realize one other 777-300ER to suffice demand on its network across the Pacific rim.
An airlines spokesperson spoke with ch-Aviation, and while information stays unclear of the aircrafts delivery date, further information will likely be released ‘within the near future.’
Services to North America and beyond
Currently Air Latest Zealand deploys the Boeing 777-300ER from Auckland International Airport (AKL) on routes to Houston Intercontinental International Airport (IAH), Apia Faleolo International Airport (APW), San Francisco Intrenational Airport (SF), Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD), Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport (MEL), and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Whilst the opposite widebody aircraft within the fleet, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, is deployed on its other routes across Asia, and the likes of Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Latest York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Whilst this would not be the primary time Air Latest Zealand leased aircraft, it’s going to be intriguing to see if this may be a long-term lease, or a more temporary measure. The carrier currently has a wet lease arrangement with Spanish carrier Wamos Air, which is currently deployed on its Auckland to Perth International Airport (PER) path to Western Australia.
Wamos is a world leader in aircraft charters, including wet leases which involve each aircraft and crew. The plane certain for Perth is a 280-seat Airbus A330-200, certainly one of 4 within the Wamos Air fleet, which also includes an extra five A330-300s.
ZK-OKM back from Victoriaville
Air Latest Zealand has seven Boeing 777-300ER within the fleet, and throughout the pandemic, the carrier shipped 4 of its 777’s to the Victoriaville desert while the remaining three rode out the COVID storm at Auckland Airport. ZK-OKM. Last to return, being the 12-year-old Boeing 777-300ER, arrived in Victorville on November twenty seventh, 2020.
