All of us enjoy streaming a great movie while we’re flying. There’s something intoxicating about cruising over 10,000 feet and relaxing while having fun with our favourite actors in a blockbuster film. But which movies were probably the most watched in 2023? The Brazilian carrier Azul Linhas Aéreas gives us a solution.
Passengers have grown accustomed to the proven fact that there can be an IFE screen when flying with many airlines –particularly on long-haul flights. Some airlines offer several types of inflight entertainment, including streaming the airline’s movie selection directly on the passenger’s phone or tablet.

How Airlines Pay Hundreds of thousands To Show Movies Onboard
Some airlines are completely happy to spend thousands and thousands on film contracts.
So, which movies were probably the most streamed this 12 months onboard Azul’s flights? Let’s discover.
King Richard
The 2021 American biographical sports drama film starring Will Smith as Richard Williams, father and coach of superstar tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, was probably the most streamed onboard the Brazilian airline’s flights. This movie earned Will Smith the Best Actor Oscar on the 2022 awards (although we don’t remember his participation on the event for that glorious moment).
John Wick: Chapter 4
motion movie is all the time a wonderful alternative while flying. This 12 months, the neo-noir motion thriller film John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves, took the second place in Azul Linhas Aéreas’ rating.
Black Adam
Based on DC Comics’ comic book stories, the film, starring Dwayne Johnson, explores the origins of the anti-hero and the way he obtained magical powers, becoming a sorcerer but using his powers for evil. Drawn by the star power of former WWE superstar, this movie beat any of the Marvel’s movies onboard Azul’s flights.

Ticket to Paradise
Starred by Julia Roberts and George Clooney, this 2022 romantic comedy follows a divorced couple trying to sabotage their daughter’s wedding in Bali. The movie gives us laughter and makes us crave we were in the long-lasting turquoise waters of the Indonesian leisure destination.
The Whale
Brendan Fraser, the 2023 Oscar for Best Actor winner, stars on this drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky. He portrays the story of Charlie, an obese English teacher who lives reclusively and has a fragile relationship together with his daughter.
Elvis
The biopic of music star Elvis Presley was one among the purchasers’ favorites, said Azul in an announcement. This film showcases the trajectory of the music icon and his tumultuous relationships.

The Batman
It is the second DC movie on this list, even though it shouldn’t be an element of the identical universe as Black Adam. Starred by Robert Pattinson within the role of Bruce Wayne, the movie shows a darker –much darker– version of the hero while coping with Gotham’s never-ending problems.
The Matrix Resurrections
Keanu Reeves was a top actor for Azul’s passengers this 12 months. Many passengers of the Brazilian carrier opted to stream this 2021 science fiction motion film, the fourth installment in The Matrix film franchise.
Bandit
This was perhaps probably the most unexpected movie on the list. Bandit is a 2022 Canadian biographical crime film starring Josh Duhamel, Mel Gibson, and Elisha Cuthbert. It is predicated on the true life story of Gilbert Galvan Jr. (also generally known as ), who holds the record for probably the most consecutive robberies in Canadian history.
The Secret Life Of Pets 2
Following the success of the 2016 film, The Secret Life Of Pets 2 was Azul’s tenth most streamed movie. A comedy film that may’t go fallacious when flying – unless you miss your pet, then you could be only a bit nostalgic while seeing it (it sure as hell happened to me once I streamed The Art of Racing within the Rain while flying from Sao Paulo Guarulhos to Mexico City with Aeromexico a number of years ago).
