This weekend, Viva Aerobus took delivery of its 79th aircraft at Terminal C of Monterrey International Airport (MTY). The plane, registration XA-VXN, is distinctive for being the primary Airbus A321neo in Mexico featuring the brand new Airspace interior configuration, said the corporate in an announcement.
The aircraft departed from the Airbus factory in Hamburg, Germany, with stopovers in Keflavik, Iceland, and Bangor, United States. This delivery flight was conducted using a ten% mix of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). It’s the second time Airbus has delivered an aircraft to Viva Aerobus employing SAF.

As an example, it offers latest lighting scenarios to boost the ambiance, which may vary in accordance with each moment of the flight and special events. The overhead luggage compartments have an increased capability of 40%, which allows the storage of as much as 60% more bags, said Viva Aerobus in an announcement.
Moreover, restrooms are delivered with improved lighting, antimicrobial surfaces, and integrated ambient music. The entry area is redesigned to return with higher lighting and more modern. Finally, the windows are also modified to offer an entire exterior view, and Airbus installed additional windows within the rear section of the aircraft, allowing more natural light.
