Merger by 2025
Vistara’s route expansion is happening at the same time as it prepares to eventually merge with one other Tata Group airline, Air India. Kannan recently said that the 2 airlines are busy getting all of the regulatory and legal approvals and can merge their operations by 2025. Once that happens, the Vistara brand will stop to exist.
