On November 27, United Airlines adjusted its summer schedule to incorporate a further day by day flight from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) to Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport (PTY). Prior to the schedule change, the carrier had expected to serve the route only twice day by day throughout nearly all of the height summer travel period.
United plans so as to add this third service originally of April and can proceed to fly the route 3 times day by day until roughly halfway through August. In total, the carrier will operate 150 monthly services to the Central American country from its hubs at Houston and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) throughout nearly all of next summer.
Service specifics
With this latest adjustment, PTY will see three separate day by day flights from Houston, all of which could be booked now on the United site and are slated to be operated by the carrier’s Boeing 737 aircraft. These flights are usually not low cost, with roundtrip Wednesday-Wednesday tickets starting at around $1,200.

From Houston, these flights are UA 1916, UA 1250, and UA 1034, which depart at 10:03, 12:00, and 14:24, respectively. Within the return direction, the services operate as UA 1423, UA 1031, and UA 1033 and can depart at 07:55, 10:00, and 15:30.
These is not going to be the one United flights at PTY, because the carrier also serves the Panamanian capital city from its primary East Coast hub at Newark. The airline will fly twice day by day from the airport, each of which will probably be operated by the airline’s 737 aircraft.
From Newark, these flights operate as UA 1021 and UA 392, departing at 15:16 and 23:59, respectively. Within the reverse direction, the carrier’s services are UA 727 and UA 1703, which depart Panama City at 09:30 and 22:55, respectively.

Between April and August, United will fly over 900 flights between its Houston and Newark hubs and Panama City. The carrier will offer over 125,000 seats, with over 240,000 available seat miles. This expansion also comes on the heels of more services from Chicago to Houston being added to the airline’s schedule.
