Two United Airlines flight attendants have launched a lawsuit against the airline, claiming they were unfairly faraway from working on LA Dodgers charter flights and replaced by “young, White, thin women.”
United FA’s discrimination lawsuit
The 2 flight attendants – Darby Quezada, 44, and Dawn Todd, 50 – filed the suit on Wednesday with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Quezada, of Black, Jewish and Mexican descent, and Todd, who’s Black, imagine they were pulled from the charter flight duties as a result of their race, age, looks and non secular background.
Their attorney, Sam S. Yebri, said in a press release,
Based on the suit, when the 2 cabin crew asked United why certain flight attendants were working the flights despite not interviewing for the positions, they claim they were told that “.”

Quazeda alleges “unrelenting racist and antisemitic comments” from other attendants working the flights – this included being called a “flight maid” as they “needed a Mexican to scrub the bathrooms,” and disparaging comments concerning the size of her hips and Jewish heritage. Todd states she faced retaliation after complaining concerning the demotion and denial of advantages of Black flight attendants. Each say their approaches to United management to lift the issues were ignored.
Previous lawsuit settlement
United Airlines was previously sued for discrimination as a result of its staffing decision on sporting charter flights in 2020. In truth, the settlement of this primary lawsuit led to Quezada and Todd’s addition to the charter flight roster, in line with their attorney Yebri. Quezada was chosen for the charter flights in 2020, while Todd joined the roster in 2022.
The lawsuit states,
As a Los Angeles Each day News report explained, the LA Dodgers charter flights are a much sought-after project, offering more cash for longer flights, higher per diem compensation, and even other perks, akin to free sports tickets and field passes. United first entered its partnership with the LA Dodgers in 2011, flying the team to its away games throughout each season – the Dodgers even have a partnership with Taiwanese carrier Starlux, as announced earlier this 12 months.
United denies accusations
