A have a look at July 2023
The US Department of Transportation T-100 data for July 2023 (essentially the most recent month available to me) shows that Turkish Airlines carried 334,188 passengers to/from the US. This includes everyone who flew no matter where they went. With 374,598 seats on the market, its average seat load factor was 89.2%. It was, in fact, a peak month.
Obviously, Istanbul-JFK was the most important passenger market, while Atlanta was the smallest. Los Angeles flights were the busiest, with nearly 93 seats in 100 filled, while Atlanta was the quietest, with about 80% of seats filled – far lower than the common.

While July was just one month, and it’s important to not read an excessive amount of into it, it’s interesting that Atlanta is considered one of the routes to see higher frequencies next 12 months – with weekly flights up by 43% (!).

On the face of it, it seems odd that Atlanta could be increased, and it raises the plain query of overcapacity and the standard impacts on fares and yields. How vital is premium traffic and freight to the route?

Given the traffic and loads, there must surely be a robust element of competitiveness to justify this increase, together with beefing out its growing next wave of early morning departures from Istanbul (06:35-08:20).
As much as a record 23 each day departures
Evaluation of schedules for next July-September shows a maximum of 23 each day flights from Istanbul. When writing, this number will only occur on seven Saturdays: August seventeenth, twenty fourth, and thirty first, together with September seventh, 14th, twenty first, and twenty eighth.

For example, consider August seventeenth. That day, all of those flights are scheduled to depart Istanbul. Note: not all flights per route operate on this present day.
