With the alliance celebrating its twenty fifth anniversary in 2024, oneworld has begun opening its branded lounges worldwide. Its first two lounges were opened in Seoul, South Korea, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in quick succession. But which airlines from the alliance fly to those two airports?
No home carrier
Interestingly, the alliance doesn’t have a house carrier based at either Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) or Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), where oneworld’s first two branded lounges have opened in January and February, respectively.
Moreover, each airports are seemingly an insignificant a part of the alliance’s flight network. In accordance with data from the aviation analytics company Cirium, the alliance’s 15 airlines have scheduled 335,166 one-way flights in February. Out of those, 987 can be operated to ICN and AMS.

Oneworld’s network from/to AMS
Further data showed that out of the 987 itineraries, 736 are landing at AMS. British Airways, one in all three European airlines within the alliance, should operate greater than half of the flights: 471. The British carrier flies to AMS from three airports in London: Heathrow Airport (LHR), Gatwick Airport (LGW), and City Airport (LCY).

Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD), is near sixth place, with Iberia planning 55 flights on the MAD – AMS route.
The next 4 routes are operated by Royal Air Maroc (Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) – AMS, 29 flights), Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) – AMS, 29 flights), American Airlines (Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) – AMS, 22 flights), and Royal Jordanian’s flights between Amman Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) and AMS with 14 flights.

Oneworld’s network from/to ICN
In comparison with the alliance’s network at AMS, the airport serving the South Korean capital has even fewer destinations and oneworld airlines flying out and in of ICN. In total, seven oneworld airlines have scheduled 251 flights to ICN during February 2024.
Aside from the relatively short hop between HKG and ICN (1,116 nautical miles, 2,067 kilometers), the entire alliance’s flights are medium or long-haul itineraries. Cathay Pacific has probably the most significant amount of flights to ICN, with the airline operating 109 flights exclusively from HKG.

Subsequently, American Airlines, Finnair, Malaysia Airlines, and Qatar Airways are tied for second with 29 flights from Dallas Fort Value International Airport (DFW), HEL, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), and DOH, respectively. The last two airlines on the list are Qantas (17 flights from Sydney Airport (SYD) and SriLankan Airlines, which has nine flights scheduled between Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and ICN in February.
Throughout the summer travel period, the alliance has only scheduled 22 additional flights to the 2 airports, with British Airways removing 98 flights from its network to AMS in June. The removal is offset by significant growth from Cathay Pacific (42 more flights), American Airlines (39), and Iberia (35), in addition to Malaysia Airlines (23).
