On Thursday, February 15, Tampa International Airport (TPA) revealed that Spirit Airlines was set to launch 4 latest routes this upcoming spring. The 4 latest routes will assist in transporting passengers throughout the expected travel surge that happens in March and April. The 4 latest services operate from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) in Missouri, Memphis International Airport (MEM) in Tennessee, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Wisconsin, and Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Tennessee.
Busy travel season
The 4 latest services are starting to accommodate the rise in travelers that typically occurs throughout the spring break season. Tampa Airport is expecting a record-setting spring break travel season. Tampa is predicted, for several days, to bring greater than 100,000 travelers through the airport.

The Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines spoke in regards to the latest routes. He stated,
“Tampa’s many attractions and unique culture make it a fun spring break destination, and Spirit’s latest seasonal nonstop flights will make it easier for our Guests in Kansas City, Memphis, Milwaukee, and Nashville to go to Florida’s Gulf Coast. The extra routes also give our Tampa guests an inexpensive and convenient solution to explore 4 latest destinations this spring.”
Spring break services
The route from Kansas City to Tampa will last from March 7 to April 9 and can operate 3 times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The flights are set to operate as follows:
- NK-3789 departs Kansas City at 10:45 local time and arrives in Tampa at 14:20 local time.
- NK-3788 departs Tampa at 08:00 local time and arrives in Kansas City at 09:45 local time.
The brand new service from Memphis can be 3 times weekly and lasts from March 7 to April 9. The flights will happen on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The flights are as follows:
- NK-3791 departs Memphis at 17:15 and arrives in Tampa at 20:05.
- NK-3790 departs Tampa at 15:20 and arrives in Memphis at 16:15.
The third route that Tampa announced was to Milwaukee. This route will last from March 6 through April 8 and can operate 4 times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The route is scheduled as follows:
- NK-3785 departs Milwaukee at 18:15 and arrives in Tampa at 21:55.
- NK-3784 departs Tampa at 15:30 and arrives in Milwaukee at 17:20.
The ultimate latest service connects Nashville to Tampa. The four-times-weekly service will last from March 8 to April 8, also on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The service is scheduled to operate as:
- NK-3787 departs Nashville at 11:55 and arrives in Tampa at 14:40.
- NK-3786 departs Tampa at 10:15 and arrives in Nashville at 11:05.

All of those 4 latest services are scheduled to operate with one in all Spirit’s Airbus A320s. These aircraft are operated in a regular two-class configuration, premium and standard classes. Only the front eight seats are considered premium seats. The remaining 174 seats are offered as a regular seat.
Spirit Airlines recently needed to postpone its launch of two latest routes to Tulum. This was attributable to its ongoing aircraft availability issues that were brought on by the Pratt & Whitney engine inspections.
