A passenger arrived within the US on a Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Copenhagen with out a ticket, passport, or any record that they’d boarded the aircraft. The incident took place in early November on a flight from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and an investigation is ongoing to establish exactly what happened and the way.
An unusual incident
The passenger in query, Sergey Vladimirovich Ochigava, is a Russian-Israeli dual national. In response to statements from the crew on the flight, as reported by The Independent, he attracted attention onboard when he and at one point,

Ochigava himself has no memory of being on the aircraft, or of how he got onboard, although he would have needed to go through various checks, including at airport security and on the boarding gate. This has led to the highlight being shone on Scandinavian Airlines’ security procedures at Copenhagen Airport as a part of the continued investigation. A spokesperson from the airport is reported as saying,
“We are able to see from our surveillance that he has entered with out a valid ticket. Copenhagen Airport has provided photo and video material to the authorities who’re investigating the case. We take the matter very seriously, and it can be included within the work we constantly do to regulate and tighten our guidelines to enhance security.”
