Private Jet Maintenance (PJM) has added maintenance services for patrons based within the Northeast U.S., including end-of-life parts consignment and outsourced maintenance management. Based in Buffalo, Recent York, PJM makes a speciality of classic business jets—defined as those manufactured before 2010—and Beechcraft King Air turboprops.
When an aircraft becomes not viable to operate, PJM may help maximize the worth remaining by assisting the owner part out the aircraft. “Typically, owners of end-of-life aircraft resort to a ‘fire sale’ of their asset to a part-out company,” said director of maintenance Ben Chieffo, “leaving as much as 50 percent of the worth on the table.”
As a substitute, PJM can monetize the aircraft piece-by-piece and capture more cash for the parted-out aircraft, it said.
Owners of those classic aircraft may not have the resources to administer the upkeep process, which may be complicated. So PJM developed its outsourced director of maintenance and maintenance tracking program to assist owners manage maintenance.
”Not only are there knowledge gaps that require specialized experience and licensing,” the corporate explained, “but scheduling outstation maintenance for AOG situations all around the world necessitates a deep network, parts sourcing, and maintenance controllers who’re acquainted with that individual airframe.” PJM’s program costs $2,995 monthly.
“With business jets, time is money,” Chieffo said. “The price of downtime—when it comes to missed opportunities, chartering one other jet, and needlessly expensive AOG repairs—far exceed the value tag of a sensible, proactive maintenance approach. Having PJM as your aircraft’s director of maintenance not only relieves flight crew of maintenance worries, but more importantly gives owners and operators a trusted advisor who sits on the identical side of the table as them to assist make smart decisions.”
