- In a recent congressional hearing, the arm of the U.S. government accountable for investigating UFOs, officially called unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), says it has found no evidence of aliens.
- Three latest UAP videos were released and shown in the course of the hearing: two depicting a resolved case and one depicting a sighting that remains to be unresolved.
- The top of the office, Sean M. Kilpatrick, said that though many UFO cases have been resolved, a number of remain unexplainable.
A government office accountable for investigating so-called UFOs says there isn’t any evidence Earth has been visited by extraterrestrials. The director of the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, Sean M. Kilpatrick, stated that although there isn’t any clear sign of alien visitors, his office is tracking 650 cases it believes warrant further study. The office, arrange in 2022, was established within the wake of several high-profile UFO sightings by U.S. military personnel.
Kilpatrick testified at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee on April 19 in each open and closed sessions. In an open session, a congressional committee hearing involves unclassified information, and testimony is out there to the general public. A closed session, alternatively, typically involves discussion of confidential or secret information that’s unavailable to the general public.
Kilpatrick testified that his office has reviewed tons of of cases of unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs. Nevertheless, he stated, only a handful display true anomalous behavior, with the remainder having the “mundane characteristics of balloons, unmanned aerial systems, clutter, natural phenomena, or other readily explainable sources.”
Kilpatrick played three video clips for the committee, two showing a UAP sighting that was later resolved and one showing a sighting that continues to be unresolved.
In the primary video, recorded on an MQ-9 Reaper drone’s forward-looking infrared sensor, one other MQ-9 Reaper drone appears to fly past an indistinct object flying in the wrong way. Within the second video, a Reaper drone recorded an object that appeared to zig-zag within the sky. In each cases, Kilpatrick stated, the “UAPs” were actually artifacts within the sensor’s field of view and weren’t physical objects.
Within the third video, a Reaper drone conducting surveillance of ground targets within the Middle East suddenly picks up a vivid metallic sphere, moving at a high rate of speed—seen within the video below. The drone operator quickly begins to follow the drone, losing after which reacquiring it before it speeds away, presumably out of the drone’s field of view. Kilpatrick stated the sighting remained unresolved and, on account of the shortage of information, may never be fully resolved.
Although the office has been related to traditional UFOs, like alien craft, the office was largely arrange to research a wave of sightings that were reported by U.S. military personnel and which later made the news. Sightings of UAPs by fighter jets off the coast of southern California, warships off the coast of Mexico, and elsewhere remain unresolved. UFO enthusiasts and others interpret them as signs of extraterrestrial encounters, while the U.S. intelligence community and the Pentagon see them as more likely drones operated by foreign powers for unknown reasons, perhaps espionage.
“I also needs to state clearly for the record that in our research AARO has found no credible evidence to date of extraterrestrial activity, off-world technology, or objects that defy the known laws of physics,” Kirkpatrick said, in line with ABC News.
Still, perhaps essentially the most interesting revelation of the hearing was the admission by Kilpatrick that some UAPs could involve technology superior to even that of the U.S. military—spoken in response to a matter on if possible technological advancements are being made by foreign powers, resembling China or Russia. In accordance with CNN, “in a small variety of cases, [Kilpatrick] has concerns the episodes may very well be evidence of potential technological advancements.”
The U.S. military is taken into account essentially the most technologically advanced on the planet, and if what we’re seeing in these unexplained episodes is taken into account by the Pentagon to be “potential technological advancements,” you could have to wonder what it actually is… and what, if anything, about them was stated within the closed portion of the hearing.
