US regional airline Silver Airways has landed at Nashville International Airport (BNA). The carrier flew its inaugural flight to the Tennesse Airport earlier this week after announcing the service in May.
The brand new route connects Orlando, Florida, to the Music City through Greensboro, North Carolina, with every day flights. Each Orlando and Nashville are said to be necessary markets for the Piedmont Triad region.
The journey to Nashville
On Tuesday, the aircraft operating the route, an ATR 72-600 turboprop plan registered as N706SV, began its day at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and flew to Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) as Silver Airways flight 46 (SIL46), in line with Flightradar24 data.
N706SV, then departed GSO for Nashville at 10:19 EST and took off from runway 23L at 10:42. A bit over 20 minutes later, the aircraft had reached its cruising altitude of 18,000 feet and was headed west, Flightradar24 data reports. At 10:45 CDT, the plane began its descent and was lined up for final approach by 11:06. Three minutes later, the flight officially arrived at BNA on runway 20L.
Officials welcomed the airline and its passengers at gate A6 with pink-colored balloons and cupcakes to rejoice the inaugural flight.

In an announcement to Easy Flying, BNA President and CEO, Doug Kreulen, said travelers will benefit from the latest service to GSO.
“We’re thrilled that Silver Airways will proceed their expansion into the Southeastern U.S. market, and our travelers reap the advantages with a brand new nonstop flight to Greensboro, North Carolina. This latest route marks one other latest, convenient option for business and leisure travelers as we proceed to attach Middle Tennessee to the world.”
The return flight, SIL48, was scheduled to depart BNA at 11:55 but was delayed nearly an hour and left at 12:49. After one hour and 26 minutes of flying time, the aircraft arrived back at GSO, in line with Flightradar24.com after which returned to MCO as SIL49. Orlando is taken into account considered one of Silver Airways’ hubs, with a maintenance facility onsite.
