Malaysia Airlines is about to extend its flights to Amritsar Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport (ATQ) in India, operating 4 itineraries per week starting January 2024. The brand new flights will proceed increasing the airport’s connectivity to the world, offering convenient connections to other countries throughout the continent and Oceania.
Seamless connectivity options
Sameep Singh Gumtala, Global Convener, and Yogesh Kamra, Convener (India) of the FlyAmritsar Initiative, highlighted that Malaysia Airlines’ recent flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and ATQ would facilitate connections for passengers who wish to fly to Australia, Recent Zealand and other Southeast Asian countries. As such, Malaysia Airlines will add a flight every Monday and Friday between KUL and ATQ from January 15, 2024. The flights on Monday and Friday will depart at 23:00, arriving at ATQ at 2:20, while the return flight to KUL will depart at 3:20 and arrive at 11:45 in KUL. Kamra also noted that ATQ is growing its connectivity, with other Malaysian airlines, namely AirAsia X and Batik Air operating flights to KUL. In total, there might be 21,000 scheduled monthly seats on the route. As well as, Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, also operates five weekly flights to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN), a worldwide mega-hub within the Southeast Asian region.
