Vilnius-based GetJet Airlines has welcomed its first Airbus A321 narrowbody aircraft to its fleet as a part of its plan to strengthen its ACMI operations across the region, the airline said in an announcement.
The aircraft in query
The latest addition to the airline’s fleet is a 19.6-year-old A321-200 jet, registered as LY-WSA, formerly operated by several carriers, including Iberia, rival ACMI/charter carrier Avion Express, Thomas Cook Airlines, Onur Air, and Avion Express Malta.
The newly delivered A321 aircraft features single economy class seating and may accommodate 220 passengers. Commenting on the addition of the A321, the airline’s chief executive Rūta Kulvinskaitė, said:
“The range inside our fleet, encompassing different aircraft types, together with our readiness to change aircraft in keeping with our clients’ requests, enables us to uphold our promise of quality and adaptability. The addition of the Airbus A321 further expands our capability and solidifies our dedication.”

GetJet currently has a complete of 11 aircraft in its fleet at a median age of 18.1 years, in keeping with Planespotters.net data. In anticipation of the busy summer season, the carrier recently welcomed two Boeing 737NGs and three Airbus A320s to support its long-term and ad hoc operations. Now the airline operates five Boeing 737-800s, five Airbus A320-200s, and a single A321-200 jet. The airline’s subsidiary GetJet Airlines Latvia utilizes a further Airbus A320-220 jet.
