Discounted tickets
Latest Pacific Airways has announced a limited-period airfare sale offering one-way fares as little as $49 between Ontario (ONT) and Nashville (BNA), and Reno (RNO). Passengers planning to travel on these routes must make the most by booking their tickets before 11:59 pm EST on February 2.
The discounted tickets can be found for the carrier’s flights from Ontario (ONT) to Nashville (BNA) or Reno (RNO) to Ontario (ONT) and have to be purchased at the very least seven days before departure. This offer is applicable to the travel period through April 30, 2024.
As with every sale offer, Latest Pacific’s current discounted tickets also include terms and conditions. For instance, the advertised fares are exclusively available for brand new reservations, and upgrades aren’t permitted.
Fares also don’t include US government taxes and charges, and applicable charges will likely be applied for checked baggage. The airline charges $30 for the primary bag and $40 for the second bag, with additional fees for checking greater than three bags or oversized items.
Latest airline
Latest Pacific Airways launched operations lower than a 12 months ago, in July 2023. The journey to the primary flight, which included all of the regulatory approvals and delaying the inaugural flight a number of times, took greater than 700 days. The carrier’s launch route was from Southern California’s Ontario International Airport to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
At the beginning of its industrial operations, it was referred to as Northern Pacific Airways. Still, a number of months later, the carrier was forced to alter its name to Latest Pacific Airlines resulting from a trademark infringement suit by BNSF Railway.
The Texas-based rail operator had sued FLOAT Alaska, Latest Pacific’s parent company, for infringing the trademark, which was in legal possession of BNSF. Many also felt the carrier must have done proper due diligence before deciding on a reputation.
Cutting back
In its initial growth phase, Latest Pacific Airways added two latest Boeing 757 routes from Ontario – to Nashville and Reno. As explained by Easy Flying’s route expert James Pearson, the Ontario-Nashville flight was an excellent decision since it is a large unserved market that didn’t have non-stop flights since Southwest ended it in 2010.
Latest Pacific also became the fifth airline on the Ontario-Reno sector in 30+ years, which was last served by aha! in 2022. The gap between these two destinations by road is 462 miles and takes around eight hours to cover when driving.
But earlier this month, the airline pulled its direct Ontario to Las Vegas service, effective January 1. Latest Pacific arrived at this decision resulting from the constant ground delays in Vegas, which currently leaves it with just the 2 routes mentioned above.

This leaves Reno and Nashville because the carrier’s only routes remaining.
