ITA Airways will regularly resume flights to Tel Aviv starting in March – the Italian flag carrier will begin with three weekly flights from March 1st and will increase frequencies in the summertime.
ITA to restart Tel Aviv flights on March 1
The Italian carrier will fly between Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday starting on March 1st. In a press release, the airline said service will “regularly resume” from March ahead of a planned ramp-up further into the summer.

As with other international carriers, ITA abruptly pulled service from Israel within the wake of the October 7 attacks. Data from flight tracking site Flightradar24 shows the airline’s last flight to Tel Aviv was indeed on October 7, operated by its Airbus A320 fleet.
Since then, most major carriers have resumed service to Israel, with eight European airlines reinstating flights this month. This includes Lufthansa Group airlines, Aegean Airlines, Air France, and Vueling, which join the likes of Etihad Airways and flydubai, which have already resumed flights.
The complete schedule
Flights for March can be on a special schedule than timings for the next summer season. From March 1, ITA will operate the next schedule on Tue, Thu and Sun (all times local):

Ongoing geopolitical situation
With conflict still occurring within the region, the safety situation could change immediately. The airline warned that its subsequent ramp-up of frequencies can be depending on “the evolution of the geopolitical scenario.”

Eight European airlines are set to return to Israel this month.
ITA’s presence within the Middle East is nonetheless growing after it recently added Jeddah (JED) to its network. It is going to launch Rome-Jeddah flights this August, following recent services to Riyadh (RUH) in May and Kuwait (KWI) in June. On top of this, the carrier is expanding its African reach with the addition of Accra (ACC) in Ghana and Dakar (DSS) in Senegal.
