ITA Airways is able to launch its latest route between Rome Fiumicino International (FCO) and Washington Dulles International (IAD), employing its latest flagship aircraft, the Airbus A330neo.
A brand new route and latest aircraft
The brand new path to Washington inaugurates ITA Airways’ expansion of its intercontinental network for the summer 2023 season. This expansion is supported by the introduction of the brand new A330neo, which can make its first business flight on Friday.

ITA Airways will operate five weekly flights to Washington on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. With the launch of this latest route, the Italian flag carrier will now offer 54 weekly flights to the US. In the course of the high season, from August 1 to October 28, ITA Airways will operate each day to Washington. In regards to the United States, the corporate said the next in a press release,

In line with data from Cirium, ITA Airways currently operates 54 weekly flights to the US, offering 14,789 seats. The corporate has six routes, five departing from Rome and one from Milan Malpensa International (MXP).
ITA Airways flies thrice each day between Rome and Latest York John F. Kennedy (JFK). It flies once each day in routes from Rome to Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), and Miami) and from Milan to Latest York. ITA Airways will begin flying to San Francisco (SFO) in July.

Within the Americas, ITA Airways also flies to Brazil and Argentina, following the footsteps of Alitalia, the previous carrier. The airline’s latest Airbus A330neo
ITA Airways currently has a fleet composed of 74 aircraft, in line with data from ch-aviation. The airline operates 4 Airbus A220-300s, 18 A319ceos, 27 A320ceos, five A320neos, three CRJ1000ERs, and two Embraer E190s for short-haul operations. The corporate has eight A330-200s, one A330-900, and 6 A350-900s for long-haul services.
The A330neo of ITA Airways was dedicated to Gelindo Bordin, a former Italian athlete known for winning the marathon race on the 1988 Olympic Games. It was configured specifically for the Italian carrier, with the Airspace cabin, interiors designed by Walter De Silva, the newest generation IFE system, onboard menus signed by the chef Gian Piero Vivalda, and cabin crew uniforms created with the recommendation of Brunello Cucinelli.
