India’s largest airline, IndiGo, has further bolstered its domestic presence by announcing several recent flights. The airline already commands a presence of greater than 55% in India’s domestic market, and it seems it has no plans to decelerate anytime soon.
North Goa
IndiGo is cementing its presence at the brand new airport in North Goa by announcing recent flights to Patna, Bhopal, Vadodara, and Dehradun, effective May twenty second. From May twenty fourth, the carrier will connect North Goa to Ranchi via Patna. Just about all other Indian carriers have began operations from the airport, and IndiGo, unsurprisingly, has the most important presence there already.

IndiGo says these flights aim to strengthen domestic connectivity and offer customers increased flight options to the favored tourist destination. Interestingly, these recent services are being offered at a time when Goa sees less footfall in comparison with the height winter season. Although, with the summer holidays approaching, the airline is possibly targeting passengers choosing a family getaway. The flights will operate as per the next schedule:

These latest flights are along with one other one in every of IndiGo’s announcements of accelerating connectivity from Kolkata to Bangkok and Hyderabad. The airline is stepping up its game amid increasing competition from carriers corresponding to Akasa Air and Air India, each of which have lofty plans to make further inroads into India’s domestic market. IndiGo, nonetheless, still sits comfortably at the highest, with a market share of greater than 57%.
