IndiGo is adding another flight to Donyi Polo Airport, serving Itanagar within the state of Arunachal Pradesh. IndiGo was the primary airline to begin operations within the newly opened airport when it began flying from Mumbai and Kolkata in November last 12 months. Today, the airport also sees services from other airlines, including the regional carrier Alliance Air.
Delhi-Itanagar flight
IndiGo has announced that it should start a non-stop service between Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and Itanagar’s Donyi Polo Airport (HGI). From October 2nd, the airline will operate 4 weekly flights between the 2 destinations on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Vinay Malhotra, head of world sales, IndiGo, commented,

IndiGo also began two recent Middle East flights from Ahmedabad in August to Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. The airline has also began flying to Central and Southeast Asia destinations, reminiscent of Baku in Azerbaijan and Jakarta in Indonesia. It also launched its first service to Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, from Mumbai and can soon start flying to Tashkent and Almaty in September.
