Business expansion
IndiGo’s latest announcement isn’t all that surprising, considering the airline often makes changes to its vast network before every major seasonal change. The carrier does face some capability crunch as a consequence of the grounded Airbus narrowbody fleet but has been attempting to offset the loss by adding more planes on short-term leases.

It already deploys high-capacity Boeing 777s wet-leased from Turkish Airlines to Istanbul exclusively and plans so as to add around 20 more aircraft on wet lease, including Boeing 737 MAXs from Qatar Airways.
IndiGo has also recently increased its international footprint by adding recent flights from South India, resembling Hyderabad to Bangkok, which began on February 26, and Bengaluru to Bali, which can start on March 29.
