Icelandic low-cost airline PLAY will launch the country’s first-ever direct flights to Morocco, connecting Reykjavík with the favored Moroccan coastal city of Marrakesh. The airline will begin the route in October with two weekly flights and in addition announced a brand new connection to Madeira.

PLAY launched operations with a fleet of three aircraft before expanding to 10 Airbus A320neo-family jets, now flying six A320neos and 4 A321neos. Its A320neos can seat between 174 to 180 passengers in an all-economy layout, while its A321neos can accommodate as much as 214 passengers.
