The last Bombardier Global 7500 private jet has departed from the corporate’s Toronto Downsview facility bringing the ultimate curtain down on a site with a wealthy aviation history.
Bombardier confirmed in a press release to AeroTime that the last Global 7500, and indeed the last aircraft, departed the airfield in Canada on March 23, 2024.
In line with flightradar.com, the Global 7500, registered C-GYIN, flew for just over two hours before landing at Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL) shortly before 20:45 local time.
Each the Global 5500/6500 and Global 7500 programs are in full production at the brand new site at Pearson Airport (YYZ).

“Our latest facility in Mississauga is a 750,000 square-foot facility, positioned at the guts of aviation within the Greater Toronto Airports (GTA), and is the best place for Bombardier to proceed to be a key driver within the local aerospace economy,” Bombardier said.
On May 1, 2024, at Bombardier’s 2024 Investor Day, the corporate will proceed with the official inauguration of its Aircraft Assembly Centre at Pearson Airport, marking the official transition from its Downsview facility.
The Downsview plant was inbuilt the Nineteen Sixties and have become a part of Bombardier when the corporate took over de Havilland in 1992.
Bombardier said that the brand new facility for final assembly of Global aircraft will “exemplify Bombardier’s commitment to sustainability”.
Environmentally responsible features will reduce energy consumption by almost 60% and can lower greenhouse gas emissions by greater than half.
