Demand for pilgrims to make the trip from Fiji to Israel has seen Fiji Airways take flight on its first-ever charter service connecting Nadi and Tel Aviv (not directly). In partnership with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem ( ICEJ – FIJI Branch) and Faith Harvest Church, saw delegates from across its congregation in Samoa, the Cook Islands, Tonga, and Fiji decent on Nadi to board the inaugural flight to the Holy Land for the ‘2023 Feast of the Tabernacle.’
Fiji Airways deployed certainly one of its Airbus A330-200 to operate the services, which holds registration DQ-FJV, named ‘Island Of Yasawa-i-rara.’ The ten-year-old Airbus first took flight in 2013 and is generally deployed on the airlines Nadi to Auckland / Sydney or Melbourne services, with occasional services to Asia.

Ferry flight home
In line with data from Flightradar24.com, the aircraft is not waiting for the festiviti.es to complete, with FJ2462 departing from Tel Aviv the next afternoon.

Because the crew had rested, the flight took off from Tel Aviv on September twenty ninth, leaving at 21:03 (as a substitute of 19:30), destined for Nadi via Hong Kong. Currently, the aircraft is winging its way across India en path to HKG before returning to Nadi later today.
This visit by Fiji Airways signals the first-ever visit by FJ to Israel.
