Increasing services to South Korea
Emirates has connected Dubai International Airport (DXB) with Seoul since 2005, primarily sending the double-decker Airbus A380 to South Korea. Recently, demand has increased significantly, and starting next month on the nineteenth, Emirates will add three weekly frequencies to its schedule. The Gulf carrier will deploy its Boeing widebodies, the 777-300ERs on the additional flights, which can operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Korea and the United Arab Emirates have strong relations, including bilateral non-oil trade, which surpassed $3 billion in the primary half of 2023. Because the world continues to get well from the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for South Korea has rebounded significantly. And to satisfy that demand, Emirates is adding greater than 1,000 weekly seats on the route. The brand new flights will operate as EK324 and EK325 and can run on the next schedule:

Emirates will operate 34 flights in each direction next month, offering 33,526 seats. In an announcement, the airline said it was,
“…boosting the trade and economic ties between South Korea and the UAE in addition to through Dubai and beyond to more global destinations in Emirates’ network, further contributing to Korea’s economy and facilitating convenient air connectivity for the Republic’s imports and exports.”

International flights from Seoul
In response to Cirium, Seoul has over 30,000 roundtrip international flights this month from 75 airlines. Korean Air holds the most important market share with 6,913 flights and nearly two million seats. The most well-liked international route is from Seoul to Osaka, Japan, with 938 flights in each direction. Greater than 412,000 seats can be found on the town pair, however it will not be the busiest by way of seats.

The second-busiest route by variety of flights is to Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Japan, with 896 flights in each direction. Five airlines alone connect the 2 cities as much as five times each day during peak days in January. Because several airlines deploy widebodies to Narita, the route has a seat offering of greater than 418,000 seats this month, and, on the busiest days, there are 60 roundtrip flights.
