Dronamics, a drone-powered cargo airline, and Aramex, an Emirati logistics and provide chain company, have recently announced a Letter of Intent (LOI) to leverage Dronamics technology and Aramex’s fleet management capabilities to offer recent cargo flights within the UAE, followed by other key markets like South Africa and Australia. Dronamic’s remotely-piloted cargo aircraft will likely be used to help same-day, middle-range and long range operations for Aramex, which moves 100 million parcels annually.
This deal was facilitated by the Emirati Strategic Development Fund, who now hold an investment in Dronamics, to assist each corporations fulfill the goal of providing comprehensive express delivery services. In response to the Press Release, “Dronamics can offer as much as 80% faster, 50% cheaper and 60% lower in CO2 emissions freight in comparison with traditional transport services, making it well suited to precise deliveries, a sector Aramex is understood for. Its remotely-piloted aircraft, the Black Swan, requires 400 meters only to land and take off, a viable solution for reaching distant and underserved areas, where traditional airport infrastructure is missing or underdeveloped.”

Dronamics recently announced a brand new partnership with Greek postal company Hellenic Post to make use of their “Black Swan” for middle distance deliveries. The Black Swan cargo drone can carry over 770 kilos from Recent York to Texas and was tested earlier this yr in Bulgaria.
