Hawaii heats up
Delta is doubling down on its Hawaii schedules this winter because it looks to fill planes typically headed to Europe in the summertime. Delta Air Lines will operate 22 each day nonstop flights to Hawaii across its network next winter. The latest one will likely be the carrier’s longest domestic route at 5,095 miles, with a seasonal nonstop service between Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) on November 21.

The Boeing 767-300ER service will run through April thirtieth and compete directly against Hawaiian Airlines with an A330-200 service. Along with the Hawaii route, Delta is targeting winter sun for its BOS customers, with links to seven destinations in Florida and 7 in Mexico and the Caribbean as a part of its existing winter schedule.

All Airbus Deliveries: Delta Air Lines Received 43 Aircraft Last 12 months
The airline has greater than 200 Airbus aircraft on order in comparison with only 100 Boeing planes.
Honolulu is getting frequency boosts from two other Delta hubs within the US this winter. A second each day seasonal flight from Salt Lake City (SLC) will begin on November 6 and run through March 29. From Seattle-Tacoma, a 3rd each day, seasonal flight to HNL starts on December 21 and lasts through March 29.
Delta can even resume its route from its Atlanta (ATL) hub to Maui (OGG). It’ll be the one carrier to attach the island to the Eastern US when services begin again on November 21. Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, noted how the brand new routes fit into the airline’s network goals:
“Over the past decade, Delta has been dedicated to refining our domestic footprint, and this 12 months we’re strengthening our roots inside our well-positioned U.S. hubs to match increased demand.
“In cities like Boston, Atlanta and Seattle, we’re providing more decisions and seamless connections to sought-after destinations.”

The seasonal route will run through March 29. The airline will fly to 4 Hawaiian destinations from eight US cities, including service to HNL from all of Delta’s US hub markets when the brand new additions come online.
Miami meets Seattle-Tacoma
Delta Air Lines’ primary West Coast hub and gateway to Asia will soon be linked to Miami. Each day flights between Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) and Miami International Airport (MIA) will begin on December 21 and operate year-round. That is the most recent addition to Delta’s network at SEA and follows recent route announcements, including flights to Taipai and Dallas-Fort Price (DFW), which start this summer.

This launch is the ultimate link connecting all nine of Delta’s US hubs to Miami. Town is becoming increasingly crucial for the SkyTeam Alliance carrier because it is a key US hub for joint-venture partner LATAM. With the addition of the SEA service, Delta will fly 38 peak-day departures to 13 destinations from MIA this winter.
Delta Air Lines will go up against American Airlines and Alaska Airlines on the route with its Airbus A321neo.
