Copa Airlines, one among the most important Latin American carriers by way of network, is expanding its service to Tampa, Florida, from six to seven times weekly.
Florida expansion
Copa Airlines has been expanding its footprint worldwide recently, announcing a brand new path to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) earlier this month and now expanding its service to Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida. The schedule change just isn’t yet reflected in Cirium, but data shows that before the service increase, Copa had 56 roundtrip flights scheduled to and from Tampa with a seat offering of seven,740 for the month of June. The -700 is essentially the most scheduled aircraft on the route, carrying over 5,000 seats.

In line with Cirium, Copa serves 4 destinations in Florida alone: Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Orlando (MCO), and Tampa (TPA). Its busiest route, without comparison, is to Miami International Airport, where the airline can have as much as eight each day roundtrips in June.
