On Thursday, the Panamanian carrier Copa Airlines began operating a brand new route across the Americas, serving Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in the US from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) in Panama City.
A brand new route for Copa Airlines
The Panamanian flag carrier Copa Airlines had in its plans to launch a minimum of 4 international routes from its hub in Tocumen this 12 months. Two of those latest routes were to the US, and last week the corporate began flying to Baltimore 4 times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays) using a 154-seat Boeing 737-800.
Today, the airline launched its fifteenth path to the US. It now operates 4 flights per week to Austin on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight departs from Tocumen at 09:18, local time, landing in Texas capital city at 14:04. Copa operates the return service at 15:34 and landing in Panama at 20:16, local time.
Flights CM715 and CM716 were operated onboard a Copa Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration HP-1726CMP.
These are the 15 destinations Copa Airlines currently serves in the US: Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Latest York, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore, and now, Austin.

Other routes recently inaugurated by Copa Airlines
As previously stated, Copa Airlines began flying to Baltimore last week. It currently operates 209 weekly flights to the US, including services to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Overall, Copa Airlines offers 33,834 weekly seats.
The airline’s routes with essentially the most capability are Miami (48 weekly flights or seven each day except on Wednesdays), Orlando (33 weekly), Latest York (21), and Los Angeles (20).
Besides Baltimore and Austin, Copa Airlines recently began flying to Manta (MEC) in Ecuador. That’s its third destination within the South American country, flying 3 times per week. The opposite destinations are Guayaquil (34 weekly services) and Quito (28 weekly flights).

In October 2023, the airline is seeking to launch a brand new route between Tocumen and Jacinto Lara International Airport (BRM) in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. This may be Copa’s fifth destination in Venezuela, because it already flies to Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, and Barcelona.
Powered by an all-Boeing 737 fleet, Copa Airlines will close the 12 months, serving 81 destinations in 32 countries.
As of July 2023, a few of the airline’s most significant destinations are San José (SJO, 58 weekly flights), Medellín (MDE, 49), Cancun (CUN, 49), Bogota (BOG, 49), and Miami (48). The airline is widely known within the region for serving almost every country across the Americas, with only just a few exceptions, reminiscent of a few of the smaller Caribbean islands.
