The UK Civil Aviation Authority on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, issued Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit FOP-2026-106430-001 to Omni-Blu Aviation Limited. David Kendrick signed for the CAA. The paper covers scheduled Lagos (DNMM)–London Gatwick (EGKK)–Lagos flying from the day of signature through March 27, 2027, under Article 250 of the Air Navigation Order 2016 and the UK–Nigeria air transport agreement.

Enugu Air, owned by Enugu State, said Omni-Blu is the designated operator on the partnership. Promoters said four weekly frequencies start December 1, 2026. The permit names only registration CS-TGD, on a wet lease from EuroAtlantic Airways Transportes Aéreos, S.A., and bars Omni-Blu or Enugu Air AOC aircraft unless the Secretary of State says otherwise.

Key details

  • Application date on the CAA file: 15 September 2026. Frequency must match that schedule.
  • UK designated carriers into Lagos and Abuja from Heathrow are capped at 21 weekly: British Airways 14, Virgin Atlantic 7.
  • Air Peace had been the only Nigerian London operator, with 13 weekly (seven Lagos–Gatwick, three Abuja–Gatwick, three Abuja–Heathrow). Four Omni-Blu frequencies leave four Nigerian slots unused.

The permit authorises Omni-Blu Aviation Limited to operate Lagos–Gatwick–Lagos scheduled services under the UK–Nigeria air transport agreement through March 27, 2027.

Why it matters

Nigeria's London bilateral still sits eight flights a week behind the UK cap even after this permit. Air Peace remains the other Nigerian designation; British Airways and Virgin Atlantic still hold the whole Heathrow side of the 21.
