Boeing and Icelease agreed to a 767-300BCF freighter conversion order covering one aircraft, with options for two additional conversions. The reported agreement was signed at the Cargo Facts Symposium on October 22, 2026.
Key details
- Boeing is scheduled to carry out the conversion work at ST Engineering airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Singapore.
- The first aircraft is scheduled for induction in the first quarter of 2027, with delivery expected in the second quarter.
- The converted aircraft is intended for the cargo portfolio managed by Dublin-based IAT Leasing, Icelease’s sister company.
- IAT Leasing’s managed cargo portfolio includes seven Boeing 737-800BCFs and other freighters leased to customers.
- Icelease’s reported portfolio comprises about 40 passenger and cargo aircraft, including narrowbody and widebody types.
The first 767-300BCF conversion is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
Why it matters
The order would add a Boeing widebody freighter type to IAT Leasing’s managed cargo portfolio, which already includes 737-800BCFs. Singapore’s role in the planned conversion work also places the project at ST Engineering’s MRO facilities.
