Although passengers often try their hardest to not miss their flights, external circumstances make such efforts futile more often than not, and passengers haven’t any selection and to just accept their fate. But for 3 Israeli passengers, giving up was not an option as they jumped off a jet bridge and ran after the aircraft.
Not wanting to miss this flight
While it sounds moderately wild that such an incident is going on again in two months, it actually took place at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on July 4th for an AnadoluJet flight certain for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport. Before anything unusual occurred, boarding had already commenced and finished, and the aircraft doors had closed.
Bottom line
While these three passengers still missed their flight home, their efforts had further consequential actions because the passengers that did board AnadoluJet flight TK 7708 were delayed for over an hour when take-off finally happened at 14:25, allowing them to succeed in Tel Aviv at around 16:00.
And if there’s one thing to learn from the incident at Spain’s Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport and these three passengers, it’s that when the aircraft doors are closed, then it’s actually time to seek out the following available flight out and never hassle with chasing after the aircraft.
