Fort Value-based American Airlines, the biggest carrier at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), will add greater than 25 day by day flights this winter from the airport. The airline may also introduce a brand-new path to Jacksonville, Florida, and is ready to resume flights to Wichita, Kansas, after a hiatus of greater than three years.
The announcement comes because the airline boosted its network-wide winter schedule earlier this month, revealing recent service from Washington DC and more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean. In comparison with winter 2022, the airline will significantly increase the variety of seats offered on several routes.
Increasing flights by greater than 12%
As American enhances its schedule within the desert Southwest, the airline will add flights to 26 existing routes this November. American Airlines Vice President of PHX Hub Operations, Sophia Philis-Ortiz, said the airline is already focused on the winter despite summer just starting,
“Although we’ve not yet reached the halfway point of the summer travel season, we’re already specializing in how we are able to best serve our customers this winter. Due to the extra flight offerings, we will probably be providing additional seat capability that enables us to welcome more customers in Phoenix than we did last winter.”

The flight additions represent a rise of greater than 12% and a seat capability boost of nearly 4% of seats in comparison with last yr.
said Chad Makovsky, Director of Aviation Services for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department.
