US carrier American Airlines is gearing up for a busy Thanksgiving, with the airline forecasting it is going to carry greater than 7.8 million customers, smashing previous records for the Dallas-based carrier. AA, through the travel period of November sixteenth to twenty eighth, is scheduled to operate greater than 70,000 flights and can surpass previous passenger numbers by half one million.
Six thousand 100 departures for a single day are scheduled with American on Sunday, November twenty sixth, followed closely by the subsequent day with 6,000. This exceeds its closest competitor by greater than a thousand.

As reported by the carrier, David Seymour, America’s Chief Operating Officer, commended all the AA team as being an integral a part of AA’s thanksgiving operation:

Strong operational performance

As expected, these flights are primarily between the important thing AA hubs of Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Price, Latest York, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, and Phoenix.

Examples are Miami International Airport (MIA) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). These flights are likely to be operated with a narrowbody Airbus or Boeing aircraft. Still, on November 25, American looks to deploy the 777-200, with a capability of 273 passengers on one flight in each direction.
Flights between Chicago and Los Angeles may also be upgraded, with the standard narrowbody swapped out for a 787-8 on November twenty second, with one flight each way. The rise in capability will see the Dreamliner shuttle 234 passengers between the 2 cities. That very same day, the 787-8 will operate a one-off service between Miami, Florida, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
777-200 to Phoenix
Probably the most interesting will likely be the Boeing 777-200 deployed between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Over Thanksgiving, 12 flights will likely be upgraded from the narrowbody to the widebody workhorse. Replacing the 737 MAX 8 often on the route, the 777 will provide 101 more seats each way.

This will likely be the third widebody route scheduled with AA for Phoenix, complementing current operations to Honolulu and Dallas with the carrier,r, which is operated with the 787-8 and 787-9.
