Ultra-low-cost airline Allegiant Air has launched recent flights from Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport (IWA) to Portland International Airport (PDX). The service begins because the industry prepares to experience several million people traveling following the Thanksgiving holiday.
While the brand new nonstop route is the one flight connecting IWA and PDX, Allegiant competes with 4 other airlines that operate the route from nearby Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). The airline offered a special rate on the brand new flights for a limited time to rejoice the brand new service.
Offering “more opportunities”
Allegiant commenced the service on November 17. Flight frequencies
The flights will probably be offered twice weekly, with the operating days various depending on the week. Sun Country Airlines offers seasonal service between IWA and Minneapolis, while other airlines akin to Avelo Airlines, Flair Airlines, and WestJet have pulled flights from the airport in favor of PHX.
Allegiant’s service out of the less-busy IWA poses competition to Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Frontier Airlines, which currently operate flights to PDX from PHX.
