Alaska Airlines has revealed two latest special liveries commemorating the corporate’s long-standing support of two major universities in its home state of Washington.
Cougs or Dawgs?
Having first revealed its plans to honor two universities in its home state of Washington late last 12 months, Alaska Airlines has finally unveiled details of the brand new designs in photos released today.
Just in time for the beginning of the autumn semester, the airline is taking college pride to latest heights with the brand new livery designs to spotlight the corporate’s commitment to the 2 educational establishments.

The themed aircraft will promote the carrier’s long-standing tie-ups with Washington State University (WSU) and the University of Washington (UW). The airline can be constructing on its existing relationship with WSU, becoming the official airline partner of WSU Athletics.

The 2 aircraft chosen to hold the brand new paint schemes are each Embraer E175s from the fleet of Horizon Air, Alaska Airlines’ regional sister carrier. The aircraft replace two De Havilland Dash 8-400s whose liveries promoted the 2 universities previously but were retired last 12 months when Horizon Air moved to operate an all-jet fleet.
The primary of the pair of E175, “Go Cougs” (in honor of the Washington State University Cougars), will take to the skies on Saturday, September twenty third, operating from Seattle (SEA) to Pullman (PUW) ahead of WSU’s match against the Oregon State Beavers.
