Air France has redefined its catering options for business class passengers traveling onboard the French flag carriers’ short-haul services. The updated offering, introduced by the airline on Thursday to mark the beginning of the brand new month, was developed in collaboration with Servair Corporate Chef François Adamski, Bocuse d’Or, and Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
The brand new menu will change depending on the time of the day. Air France will offer a breakfast-style sandwich for services that depart before 10 am local time. The meal will include sandwiches on white bread with fillings corresponding to smoked salmon and cream cheese with dill. On the side, Air France will feature a breakfast pastry. This includes options like a typical French croissant or a pain au chocolat.

For flights that depart past 10:00, passengers might be served prepared by François Adamski. Fillings will include options like smoked paprika chicken and tarragon vegetables, sitting between two pieces of granary bread.
To top it off, Air France may also offer typical French sweets and desserts. This includes options like calisson, a variety of sweet commonly related to the Southern town of Aix-en-Provence, featuring a melon-like flavor with a marzipan-like texture. Air France may also offer a cannelé, a rum, and a vanilla-flavored, cylinder-shaped dessert. It has a crispy, caramel exterior, with a sweet but softer interior. Finally, desserts may include a tarte tropézienne, related to the commune of Saint-Tropez within the South of France. It comprises a thick, sweet, creamy filling in a brioche-style pastry.

Air France plans to renew its business class menu on short-haul flights every month. A choice of wine, champagne, and other cold and warm beverages will accompany it. A drinks menu might be provided to passengers alongside the brand new meal offering. The carrier has also underlined that the wine and champagne can be served in a glass cup any longer.

In a promotional video presenting the brand new changes, Adamski said (translated from French):

François Adamski is a well-renowned French chef. He was awarded the Bocuse d’Or in 2001 and was voted in 2007. A testament to his know-how, Adamski maintained the primary Michelin star given to the Abbaye Saint-Ambroix in Bourges.
