Air Europa is trying to increase its capability in transatlantic long-haul flights between Spain and Latin America, adding more frequencies to destinations in Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Ecuador ranging from December 2023. The European company may even strengthen the routes connecting Madrid Barajas International (MAD) to Asunción, Recent York, and Salvador (Brazil) through the Christmas season.
Increasing capability for the winter season
The Spanish company, based in Madrid, will add more frequencies to Latin American destinations. It’s doing this to bolster its commitment to connectivity across either side of the Atlantic Ocean.
This month, the corporate announced an expansion of its flights to the Americas, reaching roughly three million seats, representing a 13% increase in comparison with 2022. Air Europa will increase the variety of frequencies to several destinations on the continent for the upcoming winter season.

For example, Air Europa will add a 3rd weekly frequency between Madrid and Salvador de Bahía in Brazil to fulfill the demand for year-end vacations. The carrier can be increasing its seat availability in flights to Venezuela, Colombia, and Panama by 79.9%, 35.3%, and 32.4%, respectively. Air Europa said in a press release.
Where does Air Europa currently fly to in Latin America?
As of August 2023, Air Europa operates 87 weekly flights between Madrid and Latin America, ranging between 12 and 13 every day. The Spanish carrier flies to 18 destinations within the region.
Air Europa operates every day flights to Bogota (BOG), Buenos Aires (EZE), Sao Paulo (GRU), Havana (HAV), Lima (LIM), and Santo Domingo (SDQ). Five times every week, it serves Medellín (MDE), Panama City (PTY), and Quito (UIO). 4 times every week it flies to Asunción (ASU), Cancun (CUN), Montevideo (MVD), Punta Cana (PUJ), and Viru Viru (VVI). Finally, Air Europa flies 3 times every week to Caracas (CCS) and Cordoba (COR) and two times every week to San Pedro Sula (SAP) and Salvador (SSA).
One among the leading airlines available in the market
This winter season, Air Europa will increase flight frequencies to nine destinations starting in December, departing from Madrid. Because of this, there might be six flights per week to Panama and Medellín (Colombia) and five flights to Quito (Ecuador), Guayaquil (Ecuador), Asunción (Paraguay), and Caracas (Venezuela). Moreover, between December and January, a sixth frequency might be added between Asunción and the Spanish capital. A fifth weekly flight to Recent York (United States) and Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) can be scheduled.
