Air Canada is able to offer more capability to 2 US destinations – Las Vegas and Phoenix – by deploying its widebody aircraft for flights from its Toronto base. Currently, these routes are served by Air Canada’s low-cost subsidiary, Air Canada Rouge.
Dreamliner flights to Las Vegas and Phoenix
Passengers flying from Toronto to Las Vegas and Phoenix within the US will soon have the choice of traveling on a widebody jet, with Air Canada deploying its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on these two routes.
The carrier will fly each day between Toronto and Las Vegas, and in line with data from Cirium, in November, most of those flights will likely be performed on the larger 787-9 variant. Two flights between the 2 cities will happen on the shorter 787-8 variant next month.

Las Vegas is a well-liked destination from Toronto, as several other airlines fly this route, including WestJet, Flair Airlines, and Canada Jetlines. In December, there are 248 return flights between the 2 destinations.
Air Canada’s Boeing 787 operations
Air Canada relies heavily on the Boeing 787 aircraft for a lot of its international and popular domestic routes. In November, slightly over 2,000 Dreamliner flights are scheduled across its network.
Air Canada’s 787 flies to a spread of destinations everywhere in the world, including Auckland, Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Seoul, Madrid, London Heathrow, Dubai, Dublin, Tokyo Narita, Shanghai, and Vienna, amongst several other cities globally.
The Dreamliner can also be kept busy flying inside Canada, with among the hottest routes being Toronto-Vancouver, Vancouver-Montreal, and Montreal-Calgary, amongst others.

The airline currently has 30 Boeing 787-9 planes in its fleet and eight 787-8. Air Canada’s Dreamliner fleet will strengthen further in the approaching years, because it has placed a firm order for 18 aircraft for the longest variant of the sort, the 787-10. Once the planes from its latest order arrive (starting 2025), Air Canada will develop into only a handful of carriers to incorporate all three variants of the Dreamliner aircraft family.
