Air Canada passengers traveling on domestic routes are actually capable of track their baggage in real-time because it moves with them on their journey. The airline hopes that the brand new baggage-tracking feature on its mobile app will give passengers added confidence and can improve the general customer experience.
The app will work off data from baggage tags as they’re scanned at each stage of the journey, so passengers will give you the option to follow their bags at key points as they move from check-in to the aircraft, through any connections, and on to their final destination. Initially, only passengers traveling on flights inside Canada will give you the option to make use of the brand new bag-tracking feature, but it’s going to be rolled out to the airline’s US flights next 12 months, and, in time, to pick out international destinations, too. We already achieve a really high reliability rate, but to further elevate our service, we’re introducing a brand new tracking feature within the Air Canada mobile app to present customers real-time information, greater certainty concerning the movement of their belongings during their trip, and heightened convenience.”
A smoother journey, even when things go mistaken
The launch of Apple AirTags and similar alternatives has made it easier than ever for passengers to trace their very own baggage, and the brand new bag-tracking feature on Air Canada’s mobile app taps into this growing market.
