Aerolíneas Argentinas is seeking to have the strongest summer season in its history this December 2023 and January 2024, making as much as 3.34 million seats available and a route map that features 183 weekly international flights to twenty destinations between the Americas and Europe. Increasing connectivity
The Argentinian state company announced this week its expanded offer for the primary two quarters of 2024, unveiling significant updates, including some recent routes, reminiscent of the one connecting Córdoba (COR) in Argentina with Asunción (ASU) in Paraguay.

For the approaching summer season (within the Southern Hemisphere), Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer 3.34 million seats, representing a 9% increase versus 2023 and an 8% increase versus 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. For your entire 2024, Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer 14.76 million seats, a 12% increase from 2023 and a 19% increase from 2019.

The international connectivity
Aerolíneas Argentinas’ international summer network will see increases in several routes connecting to regional destinations. The corporate will operate flights from Córdoba to Río de Janeiro (GIG) and Florianópolis (FLN), serving these two routes thrice per week. Aerolíneas will even operate twice-weekly flights from Mendoza (MDZ) to Rio de Janeiro and one day by day from Buenos Aires to Florianópolis.
Moreover, an additional weekly flight shall be added to Cancun (increasing from 4 to 5), Punta Cana shall be increased from three to 4, and Salvador de Bahía, with five weekly flights, will switch to operating with Airbus 330. It is also price noting the beginning of flights Montevideo–Bariloche and Montevideo–Mar del Plata, each with two weekly flights.

Finally, starting in April, Aerolíneas Argentinas will introduce the route Córdoba-Asunción, with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. That month, Aerolíneas will even increase the connectivity to Lima (LIM) from seven weekly flights to 10, Bogotá (BOG) from seven to 10, Porto Alegre (POA) from six to 12, Asunción from ten to 14, Santiago de Chile (SCL) from 24 to 26, and Curitiba (CWB) from 4 to 6. And the route from Buenos Aires to Porto Seguro (BPS), which had been canceled in 2019, shall be resumed.
How has the international market been for Aerolíneas in 2023
Between January and October 2023, Aerolíneas Argentinas carried 2.37 million international passengers. That’s an 83% recovery versus pre-COVID numbers. Nevertheless, in October 2023, the recovery reached 92%. The general goal is to achieve three million international passengers by the top of 2023 (versus the three.3 million in 2019).
Aerolíneas Argentinas is offering international flights to twenty destinations in 2023. It operates 70 weekly flights to Brazilian destinations (Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Curitiba, Sao Paulo, Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador de Bahía). Other destinations include Madrid (11 weekly flights), Rome (five), Miami (ten), Latest York City (three), plus nine destinations across Latin America.
