Aeroitalia is ready to extend its regional connectivity by employing its turboprop ATR 72-600 fleet. From October 1, 2023, the Italian carrier will open three recent routes serving Marche Airport (AOI, formerly often called Ancona Falconara Airport), the principal terminal within the Marche province.
Connecting Ancona with Italy’s principal cities
Starting on October 1, Aeroitalia will begin flying from Milano Linate (LIN), Napoli (NAP), and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) to Marche Airport. By launching these routes, the little Italian airport shall be connected to 3 of the country’s principal cities. Prior to now, Alitalia served the route Rome-Ancona.
Aeroitalia will employ its ATR 72-600 aircraft with 68 seats to operate the three recent domestic routes to Ancona. Gaetano Intrieri, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aeroitalia, said,

The connectivity at Ancona
As Acuaroli said, the Marche region is just not thoroughly connected via air to the remaining of Italy. In line with data from Cirium, Marche Airport has 14 weekly domestic flights operated by Ryanair and Volotea. Ryanair operates three weekly flights to Catania (CTA), while Volotea offers two weekly flights to Cagliari (CAG), 4 to Catania, two to Olbia (OLB), and three to Palermo.

Internationally, Marche Airport has more weekly flights, totaling 33 per week. These are operated by Albawings (three weekly from Tirana, Albany), Ryanair (4 weekly from Brussels, two from Krakow, two from Dusseldorf, and 7 from London Stansted), Lufthansa (one day by day from Munich), easyJet (two from London Gatwick), Volotea (two from Paris Orly), and Wizz Air Malta (4 from Tirana).
