Irish flag carrier and official carrier of the Irish Rugby Football Union, Aer Lingus, has announced its intention to fly between Shannon (SNN) and Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG) for this 12 months’s World Cup. The announcement will allow those living in West Ireland to travel to the French capital, easily reaching matches.
Aer Lingus, a subsidiary of the International Airlines Group (IAG), is the official partner airline of the Irish Rugby Football Association (IRFU) and has announced a brand new flight between Shannon and Paris. Aer Lingus has confirmed that the route will likely be operated by its newest addition to its fleet, the Airbus A321LR (long-range). Tickets went on sale for this flight last week.

Ireland is a large fan of rugby, with Ireland being the present winners of the 6 Nations after winning against England earlier this 12 months. Partnership with IRFU
Aer Lingus and Irish Rugby have an extended connection and partnership. Aer Lingus is one among the IRFU’s most important sponsors and flies the Irish Rugby Team to their matches around Europe and North America.
Up until recently, Aer Lingus had two of their A320-200s, EI-DEO and EI-DEI, painted in a special Irish Rugby livery. The livery, named “Green Spirit” featured many players from the Irish Rugby Men’s Team. The livery was first introduced back in 2015.
